Staff Development
Music
Ascension believes that all people are capable of making music. Our
professional development workshops empower participants with the knowledge,
confidence, and skills necessary to lead children in meaningful and positive
experiences with music.
Forming connections between music and other curriculum/program areas is also an important facet of our workshops. Music Ascension offers a variety of workshops to help schools, community-based organizations, and camps integrate music into their program.

Recognizing the exceptional progress made by participants in the Music Ascension Program at her school, Diane Somers (School Director) sought to widen our impact by having Music Ascension lead several Staff Developments. These sessions were designed to empower teachers to utilize musical games, focusing practices, and creative exercises to help their students remain engaged with and redirected toward their general studies.
